A two-hour game is not a rip-off
There's a strange idea that a game has to last forever to be worth it. Lantern Hollow is maybe two evenings long, and it's one of the most memorable things I've played this year.
Short games can afford to be dense. Every screen in a tight adventure gets attention because there aren't a hundred of them. Nothing is padding. Compare that to sprawling games where half the map is filler you rush through.
When something respects your time and leaves you thinking afterward, that's value. I'd rather have a sharp two-hour story than a fifty-hour one I never finish. Don't let a short runtime scare you off a good game.
