Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Hollow is a mood piece. You explore a foggy village by tapping to move and examine things, solving gentle environmental puzzles as you piece together what happened here. The hand-drawn art carries the whole experience — every screen looks like a page from a storybook.
Puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic. I only got stuck once, and even then a subtle hint system nudged me without spoiling it. The pacing is deliberately slow, which won't suit everyone, but it drew me in.
There's no combat and no fail state, just a story unfolding at your pace. It's a couple of evenings long, and I thought about it after finishing, which is the best thing I can say about a short game.
